We all experience the aging process, but it can be alarming to see lines and wrinkles start to set in ahead of their time. Early signs of aging can be attributed to a combination of factors including sun exposure, lifestyle choices, and genetics. MOXI was created out of a clear and indisputable demand for better preventative skincare treatments. The idea of “prejuvenation” is perfect for those just starting their skincare journey, looking for a light touch up, or those wanting something more but without downtime.

Safe for all skin types and tones, Moxi allows for customized treatments to address each individual's skin concerns. The ideal candidate is interested in preventing and reducing signs of aging rather than dramatically correcting skin concerns. Moxi is also a great option for anyone looking to maintain their results after a more aggressive laser treatment, like HALO.

Am I a Good Candidate for MOXI?

You’re a great candidate for MOXI skin resurfacing treatments in our San Diego medical spa facility if you’ve experienced any of these issues in the following places.

  • Sun damage

  • Lines & Wrinkles

  • Pigmentation

  • Rough, Uneven Skin

  • Large Pores

  • Melasma

  • Face

  • Neck

  • Chest

  • Hands & Arms

  • Shoulders

How Does MOXI Work?

Moxi is a non-ablative fractionated laser that targets pigment by creating tiny micro-channels in the top layer of skin. These micro injuries stimulate the dermal repair process, revitalizing tone and texture and reducing the appearance of brown and red spots caused by sun damage or aging. With collagen and elastin naturally reducing with age, the MOXI is a great way to maintain healthier-looking skin.

Moxi is one of the gentlest fractional laser treatments on the market, which allows for a very quick and easy recovery process. Since this laser treatment has minimal downtime, it can be performed year round and is the ideal treatment for patients who are not able to take time out of their schedule to recover.

What Should I Expect After my MOXI Treatment?

Results will vary depending on your treatment goals and the plan you set forth with your provider. Immediately after your treatment, your skin will be pink and feel tingly (like from a sunburn). For the day following your treatment, you may see the small micro dots called “mendz” where the laser was applied. As the micro zones heal, they will darken and feel rough. Between days 3 and 5, the mendz will slough off, revealing the renewed skin beneath.
