Since this procedure is very similar to lifting weights or calisthenics on a muscular level, the side effects are very similar. That said, the only side effects that have been associated with CoolTone are muscle soreness and stiffness, and mild swelling.

A full CoolTone procedure is administered in four rounds, two per week for two weeks, and about 30-minutes each.

The procedure itself feels like your muscles are contracting rapidly, which may cause some discomfort at first, but most patients get used to it within a few minutes.

Although the process begins immediately, you may not see results right away. And though some patients have seen results in as soon as one day, some patients won't see results for up to a week after the muscles have fully recovered.

Also, consider your own BMI. If a patient's muscles are already visible through their skin, their results will be seen a lot sooner than a patient with a higher BMI. This, however, has no effect on the effectiveness of the procedure, as the MMS technology can penetrate any amount of fat cells sitting on top of the muscle.
