Ultherapy

The only FDA-cleared non-invasive skin lifting treatment utilizing micro focused ultrasound to generate a thermal effect under the skin. This process jump-starts your body’s own ability to create collagen to achieve firmer skin. Unlike lasers, radiofrequency, and other technologies, Ultherapy bypasses the surface of the skin through micro focused ultrasound energy to target the right depths for collagen stimulation.

Who it’s for: Those who are not ready for a surgical facelift and would like a non-invasive way to tighten their loose skin.

Where it’s used: lifts the neck, jawline, chin, brow, and improves lines and wrinkles on the upper chest

How often: Proven result with 5-9 treatment for most patients. Depending on the degree of laxity, typically 1 treatment every 6-12 months.

What to expect: Topical numbing is applied to the treatment area 45 mins prior to procedure. Ultrasound gel is used to guide the applicator. You will feel a warm sensation on your skin during the process. There is no downtime with Ultherapy, you can return to your normal activities immediately after your treatment. Some people can experience flushing, slight swelling, tingling, or tenderness to touch. These side effects are mild in nature and very temporary. You may notice initial results due to swelling, but it can take 3-6 months for collagen production to see final results.

Ultherapy FAQs

Ultherapy is a revolutionary, FDA-cleared skin tightening and lifting treatment that uses ultrasound energy to boost collagen production from deep within the skin. Treatments are non-invasive and non-surgical. That means no incisions and zero downtime.

Ultherapy is best for tightening loose skin in the face, chest and neck. That includes sagging brows and loose skin in the submental area. (That’s underneath the chin.) Ultherapy is also used to reduce fine lines and wrinkles to the chest area.

Many patients see gradual, impressive results after just one session. Some patients will benefit from additional sessions depending on their skin condition and how the targeted areas respond to the treatment.

Most patients describe a tingling or warming sensation during Ultherapy treatments. Your provider can apply a topical numbing agent 1 hour before starting your treatment to reduce any discomfort. Talk to your provider ahead of your treatment if you are particularly sensitive to pain, as they may recommend an over-the-counter pain reliever for any discomfort during and after your Ultherapy session.

Your Ultherapy cost will depend on the areas of the body you’re targeting for treatment.
At SDBotox, Ultherapy treatments are broken down as following:

Full face (above brows, mid face/cheeks, upper neck/submental/jawline): $3,000
Mid-lower face and upper neck/submental/jawline: $2,000
Chest: $1,500
Brow Lift: $550

Body:
Posterior Arms: $2,000
Abdomen: $3,800
Above the Knees: $2,000
Thighs/butt: $3,800

Many patients see continued improvements in targeted areas for up to 2 years. As we can’t completely stop aging, maintenance treatments are recommended after the 1-year mark to maintain results.
