BBL is the world’s most powerful IPL (Intense Pulsed Light) device on the market. It sets new standards in treating skin conditions associated with aging, active life-styles, and sun damage.

The light energy delivered by BBL will gently heat the upper layers of your skin. The heat absorbed by the targeted areas will stimulate your skin cells to regenerate. This process will restore your skin to its natural beauty, making it clearer, smoother, vibrant and younger looking.
BBL energy allows your physician to treat age and sun spots, small facial veins, and many other skin conditions. Your physician’s treatment plan will be tailored to match your skin type and your desired results.

BBL HERO works well to:

  • Reverse damage from the sun.
  • Reduce the size of your pores and improve your acne.
  • Reduce scarring.
  • Improve the appearance of pigmented lesions, like freckles and age spots.
  • Improve the appearance of vascular lesions, like rosacea and cherry angiomas.
  • Reduce spider veins.
  • Improve collagen production.

BBL HERO requires little to no downtime, with cooling technologies keeping you comfortable throughout the process.

I have been undergoing non surgical procedures for the past 7y internationally but SDBotox is one of the best medical spas I’ve had the pleasure to cross paths with. Not only does SDBotox offer cutting-edge services and highly competent doctors and nurses, but the whole staff is incredibly professional and the spa follows high standards. I highly recommend SDBotox.

Vicki D.

I had a great appointment with Dr. Oleg. He is professional, knowledgeable and I felt completely comfortable. I've had a few shots in the past and just assumed I have a very low pain threshold for needles, but somehow Dr. Omade it painless!

  • Let your doctor know if you have a history of cold sores if you will be receiving treatment on your face. You’ll need a prescription to get rid of any active infection or prevent an infection after your treatment.
  • Avoid anti-inflammatory and blood-thinning medications before your treatment. Blood-thinning medications include Aspirin, Advil, Ibuprofen, Motrin, supplements like fish oil and Vitamin E, and other NSAIDs. Talk to your provider about any prescription medications you may be on.
  • Avoid any additional laser treatments or chemical peels to targeted areas in the two weeks before and after your treatment.
  • Avoid sun exposure in the two weeks before your treatment. If you arrive with a sunburn, your treatment will likely need to be rescheduled.
  • Be gentle with your skin in the week before your treatment. Avoid harsh, scented cleansers, exfoliants, acne treatments and retinoids/retinols.
  • Use tepid water and avoid harsh washcloths when you cleanse your skin in the week before your treatment.
  • Come to your appointment fresh-faced. Your provider will clean the targeted area, but avoid applying any makeup, lotions or deodorants to any areas that will be treated.

Disclaimer: SDBotox will not perform the treatment if you are pregnant or breastfeeding.

What is the difference between BBL and BBL HERO?

BBL HERO is a newer version of BBL. It can target more areas than the traditional BBL, making it more efficient if you have several areas of concern. The higher energy BBL HERO is popular with those seeking body treatments in addition to targeted areas of the face. Both treat similar skin concerns: sun damage, hyperpigmentation, acne scarring and redness, and more.

Is BBL the same as an IPL treatment?

If you’re looking into rejuvenating your skin, you may have noticed we also offer IPL laser treatments. IPL stands for intense pulsed light. IPL treatment involves a single beam of light and predates BBL when it comes to the world of photofacials. It’s a focused approach that can treat lesions and pigmentation in the skin.
BBL is considered a type of IPL treatment, but it involves multiple light wavelengths. These light beams penetrate deep into the skin to efficiently address even more skin conditions than ever before.

Do these treatments work on all skin tones?

BBL is suitable for all skin tones. Sciton Joule treatments are customizable, and your provider will work with you on choosing a treatment that will work best with your skin.

How many BBL treatments will I need?

The number of treatments you’ll need depends on your specific skin concerns, what you’re hoping to achieve. Treatments are spaced 2-4 weeks apart.
Some skin conditions may require fewer sessions. Your provider will walk you through a treatment plan that will address your concerns in the most efficient way possible. They can also talk with you about maintenance plans for even longer-lasting results.
