What it is: Using advanced erbium laser technology, this procedure safely and precisely removes the outermost superficial layers of the skin to improve fine lines and wrinkles and improve skin texture and clarity. (You can combine this with a Profractional Laser for a deeper treatment.)
Who it’s for: People with mild to deep wrinkles who are seeking a light resurfacing treatment to also even out skin tone, texture and color. This laser is not recommended for all skin types, or people with melasma or people who are pregnant.
Where it’s used: Most commonly on the face, neck and hands.
How often: Depending on the severity of skin concerns, 1-3 sessions are recommended spaced 4-6 weeks apart.
What to expect: Topical numbing is applied for 45 mins prior to the treatment, followed by the laser which can take 15 – 45 mins depending on the location area and size. You can expect mild redness and swelling similar to a sunburn effect for the first 24-48 hours. Skin will then crust and peel for 3-5 days, and then reveal softer and smoother skin. Noticeable results are seen on days 7-10, however best results are seen after the full series recommended by your provider.
