What it is: World’s first hybrid fractional laser, it combines ablative and non-ablative modalities to address concerns in the surface layer and more severe skin issues in the deep layers of skin in the same treatment. This provides a more comprehensive treatment and reduces total downtime.

Who it’s for: People that have fine lines and wrinkles, uneven skin tone, age spots, sun damage, discoloration, enlarged pores

How often: Depending on the individual’s concerns, 1-3 treatments spaced 4-6 weeks apart

What to expect: Topical numbing is applied for 45-60 mins prior to treatment.d. Most patients describe the treatment as a continuous building of heat and prickling sensations, but are generally comfortable. You will continue to feel warmth for the rest of the day. Swelling and redness may persist for 24-72 hours, and sandpaper skin texture may be felt for 5-9 days after treatment. Initial results are seen after 5-9 days, with continued improvement for months after.

Some skin conditions may require fewer sessions. Your provider will walk you through a treatment plan that will address your concerns in the most efficient way possible. They can also talk with you about maintenance plans for even longer-lasting results.

HALO® Treatment Instructions

Before

  • Let your doctor know if you have a history of cold sores if you will be receiving treatment on your face. You’ll need a prescription to get rid of any active infection or prevent an infection after your treatment.

  • Avoid anti-inflammatory and blood-thinning medications before your treatment. Blood-thinning medications include Aspirin, Advil, Ibuprofen, Motrin, supplements like fish oil and Vitamin E, and other NSAIDs. Talk to your provider about any prescription med

  • Avoid any additional laser treatments or chemical peels to targeted areas in the two weeks before and after your treatment.

  • Avoid sun exposure in the two weeks before your treatment. If you arrive with a sunburn, your treatment will likely need to be rescheduled.

  • Be gentle with your skin in the week before your treatment. Avoid harsh, scented cleansers, exfoliants, acne treatments and retinoids/retinols.

  • Use tepid water and avoid harsh washcloths when you cleanse your skin in the week before your treatment.

  • Come to your appointment fresh-faced. Your provider will clean the targeted area, but avoid applying any makeup, lotions or deodorants to any areas that will be treated.
