Coolsculpting Austin

CoolSculpting is an FDA-approved method of eliminating stubborn fat. This non-invasive cosmetic procedure uses controlled cooling to freeze fat without affecting your overlaying skin. There is minimal downtime, making CoolSculpting a safer, faster alternative to fat reduction plastic surgery.

The CoolSculpting machine is attached to the desired area of your body for 30 minutes. You can watch TV, read, or take a nap during this time. After the applicator is removed, the treated area is massaged for a few minutes to help the body absorb the fat cells. The machine can then be reapplied to another area.

Achieving your desired body shape is easier than ever. Our knowledgeable and skilled providers will assess your situation and help you develop a treatment plan to reach your goals.

CoolSculpting FAQs

You may feel various sensations during the treatment, but they should subside as the area becomes numb. After the procedure, you may experience temporary redness, aching, itching, bruising, blanching, skin sensitivity, or firmness, but these should resolve within a few days or weeks. If you have any concerns, just call us.

CoolSculpting targets unwanted fat cells and freezes them, causing them to die. Once the procedure is done, the destroyed fat cells are eliminated through your body’s natural waste system. This results in a more sculpted physique.

Although the body contouring process begins immediately, results are not typically seen for a few weeks. The best results are seen around two months after treatment, but the flushing process can continue for four to six months. Most patients see a 20-25% reduction in fat in the targeted areas within one to three months.

CoolSculpting Treatment Instructions

Before

  • Avoid blood thinning and anti-inflammatory medication for seven days before the procedure. They increase the chance of bruising and swelling after treatments. Avoidable medications include Aspirin, Advil, Ibuprofen, Motrin, Fish Oil Supplements, Vitamin E

  • Avoid prolonged sun exposure to limit sunburn or any other type of skin injury. These conditions can make CoolSculpting procedures uncomfortable.

  • If a rash, cut, or bruise appears in the treatment area, you may want to reschedule your appointment after your skin has healed.

After

  • Common side effects include temporary redness, bruising, or swelling at the treatment sites for the first few days.

  • Though rare, you may feel pain post-treatment. Take 600 mg-800 mg of Ibuprofen every 8 hours until the pain subsides.

  • Hours after the applicator, you may feel temporary tingling, numbness, tenderness, cramping, or skin sensitivity. This is normal and typically resolves within a few hours. In some cases, it can last for several weeks after your procedure.

  • For continued results, maintain a healthy diet and exercise and stay hydrated.
