Dermal Fillers in San Diego
There are many types of dermal injections on the market today, the most popular consist of a substance called Hyaluronic Acid. The benefits of Hyaluronic Acid dermal fillers are extensive and can be used to eliminate laugh lines, enhance the cheeks, plump your pout and much more.
We exclusively inject FDA approved, Hyaluronic Acid-based, cosmetic dermal fillers at SDBotox, because this type of filler is among the safest and the results are immediate. Hyaluronic Acid is structurally similar to collagen and has the same appearance when injected into various areas and depths of the face.
The results of dermal fillers are incredible including directly adding volume to the face, stimulating new collagen formation and completely rejuvenating the look and feel of your skin. There is also a near-zero risk of an allergic reaction, because it’s a naturally occurring substance in the human body.
Additionally, Hyaluronic Acid-based injectable fillers are reversible. Though it’s rare, if a patient is unsatisfied with the results, we can safely remove the filler at a future appointment.
If you’re considering dermal fillers, look no further, the expert team at SDBotox offers the best and safest procedure for lip injections in San Diego.
Pricing
We offer a range of long-lasting dermal fillers at varying price points including Juvederm, Restylane, Volbello, Vollure and Voluma. The longevity of the results depends on the filler you choose and can last anywhere from 9-months to 24-months. There are also subtle nuances to each product that will be discussed at time of consultation.
We strive to be fair and upfront about our pricing at San Diego Botox. We’re transparent about the fact that Dermal fillers come from the manufacturer in pre-drawn 1 ml syringes. As a result, you must buy a minimum of 1 ml as we cannot use part of the syringe on you and part of it on someone else. Most patients only require one syringe, but you may want more depending on which area(s) you want to be treated and the desired look.
Dermal Filler Treatment Instructions
Before
- If you have or are currently suffering from cold sores, let your doctor know. A prescription is needed in order to get rid of any infection and eliminate the chance of developing sores post-treatment.
- Avoid blood thinning and anti-inflammatory medication for 10 to 14 days prior to treatment. They increase the chance of bruising and swelling after treatments. Medications to avoid include Aspirin, Advil, Ibuprofen, Motrin, Fish Oil Supplements, Vitamin E, and other NSAIDs.
- To reduce the risk of bruising, avoid drinking alcohol for 1 week before your appointment.
- We recommend scheduling your appointment 2 weeks prior to a special event to allow ample time for filler to settle, and bruising and swelling to disappear.
- If a rash, cold sore, or blemish appears in the treatment area, we recommend rescheduling your appointment 48 hours in advance.
- To reduce symptoms of dizziness, nausea, and lightheadedness make sure to eat a healthy breakfast before the procedure.
- Consider taking Arnica for 1 week before the procedure to prevent any bruising. Allocate 5 tablets under the tongue 3 times a day.
After
- You may have some redness and swelling at the injection sites immediately after the procedure. This is your body’s normal inflammatory response, and it will not last long.
- Unless otherwise instructed, avoid massaging/touching the treated area for 24 hours after the procedure.
- DO NOT conduct any type of lie heavy lifting, exercise, or active straining for 24 hours after treatment.
- To avoid excess swelling, do not consume excess sodium or alcohol for 24 hours after treatment.
- To alleviate swelling, use a cool compress for 5-10 minutes each hour and take Tylenol.
- If swelling persists, we recommend sleeping slightly elevated on your back.
- For fillers that contain Hyaluronic Acid, avoid using any type of laser treatments for 4 to 6 weeks after injections.
- If bruising occurs, ice and Arnica Gel can be used to decrease the duration of the bruise. Additionally, we can reduce the appearance of a bruise by using our Cutera Excel V laser. If a bruise persists for more than two days, please schedule an appointment with us, and we will use our laser to decrease the intensity and duration of the bruise.
- If you are unhappy with the results, we recommend to wait a few days for swelling to entirely decrease and the product to settle in before making a final decision. Remember we can always add more.
