The science behind Botox.
Repeated facial expressions cause muscles to contract, creating lines and creases in the skin over time. Botox temporarily reduces the nerve signals to targeted muscles, allowing them to relax. With less muscle movement, the skin appears smoother and expression lines become less noticeable.
Most commonly used throughout the upper face, including the forehead, between the brows, and around the eyes.
Botox can also be used for concerns such as neck bands, jaw tension, prominent trapezius muscles, and excessive sweating (hyperhidrosis).
Results begin to appear within several days, with full results visible around 2 weeks, and typically last 3 to 4 months.
